Have you heard of Traffic Exchanges?

There are many of them around now, and many new ones appearing every week. I have tried several of them; some are really good, bringing great results, others I gave up on. I have listed my favourites below, check them out, they are free to join.

How manual traffic exchanges work; you sign up for your free account, then all you do is surf other user’s websites to earn credits. Those earned credits go towards showing your own websites, resulting in the traffic you need. The more you surf, the more you earn, the more your site gets seen.

You can also earn credits to show banners, or text links. Each traffic exchange has its own unique theme, and they offer differing amounts. Some will offer a 3:1 ratio for free users, meaning you surf 3 sites for every one showing of yours. You get much better than this if you upgrade to pro membership, with most of them offering 1:1 ratio, and thousands of free credits, banners, text links etc each month. The average cost for pro membership is around $9.95 per month, but of course this varies.

Some traffic exchanges also give a lot extra for free, even to free members, such as double credit bonuses etc. It’s worth checking them out to see what is best for you. You will also find some add a bit of fun to make the surfing for credits less boring, such as games every so many pages where you can earn extra credits etc.

You can also earn extra credits or in some cases cash, for referring other members under you. You then earn a percentage of credits for the surfing activity of all your referrals.

Its advisable to use a splash page to show your sites (also known as a squeeze page) as the viewer gets on average between 10 to 30 seconds to view your site. If it is heavy on graphics, or has too much text, chances are they are not going to waste time looking at your site, you need to have a small amount of text on a clear, fresh splash page that loads fast, something that will grab their attention immediately. You only need spend a few hours per week to earn a good amount of credits at these traffic exchanges, and see the results you get with traffic to your own sites; it’s a great way to get customers.
